July 2010: Family Reunion

As soon as our friends (and Jonah's sister Saydi's friends who were also up there) left, the rest of Jonah's family started to arrive for the Eyrealm Annual Family Reunion. The official reunion is only five days, but most families..or at least some part of every family... end up staying 10 days or more. Jonah has eight siblings, six of whom are married, so it is a huge crowd. Cam really felt the love at the reunion this year because he has four boy cousins ages 4.5 and 5.5 who were finally all old enough to play together. Cam is 6.5 years old and McKay (Jonah's brother Noah's oldest kid) is only 4.5 but they are nearly twins in looks and height (and head size)! They were nearly inseperable.

But, Cam's age advantage really paid off in the Eyrealm Olympics when he beat the other boy cousins in a foot race. I don't think I've ever seen him so pleased.


Run, scrawny legs, run!


Ana is the youngest and shortest of her two best cousins Isaac and Grace... but only by a couple months and a couple inches... but, that didn't keep Isaac and Grace from whooping her in the race. She's still the only one brave enough to go on the Bloomington Rope Swing though... go Ana!


Ana had to break in her new horse riding boots, so she got to do some fantastic rides with Grandfather. She even got bucked off... which she claims was one of the best things that happened all year. I guess it's a "coming of age" thing for horse riders in her mind.






Jonah's mom Grammy/Linda brought back all these great outfits from her recent trip to India.


Bear Lake Sunset.It was a fun, relaxing (!) and delightful reunion. I even got to finish the 1200 page novel Shogun! Fun times! Thanks everyone!
