Wahoo! Spring Break finally came at the end of March/beginning of April. We had planned to all go to Washington, DC to see the cherry blossoms and hang with Eli and Julie, but we waited to long to buy our plane tickets. Blast!
Elsie didn't know what to think about having Ana and Cam home all week. Although it was exhausting, she pulled through.
Ana's great piano teacher has three piano recitals every year! We love it.
Here is Ana after the recital with her friends who have the same teacher.
The kids have gotten pretty tired of tagging along with Jonah and me when we go look at cars for Jonah to buy and fix up (his fun hobby), so we made a new deal that every time we drive to go look at a car, they get to go to Chuck-e-Cheese.
My kids had NEVER been to Chuck-e-Cheese (I know, what kind of parent am I?) and I hadn't been since I was seven... but I have to say it was pretty fun. For $20, we all got a ton of pizza and what felt like a billion tokens and almost two hours of fun, including a roller-coaster ride that I did 8 times. Jonah is appalled that I took the kids there, but its better than everyone complaining for the hours it takes for him to buy a car.
Please forgive this blurry picture. Chuck-e-Cheese doesn't have the best lighting.
The one big thing we promised the kids was that we would go to the downtown
Seattle library during Spring Break.
They were VERY happy when we finally did.
We also got to meet up with Jonah's great cousin Aubrey between her classes at Seattle University. We went and got some dried strawberries at the market.
We went back to the library after Aubrey left and the kids wanted to stay until it closed.
It is a pretty awesome place.
I always knew Cam had Zoolander in him. These are his poses for the ferry ride home.
We just love the ferry!
We spent a lot of time riding bikes and playing and painting Ana's new room and of course Easter celebrations! We painted eggs and had a hunt and it was a fantastic Spring Break!
