May Showers bring August Flowers -- BY JONAH

Photobucket
LUCKY YOU AGAIN! JONAH WROTE ANOTHER BLOG POST AGAIN...
MY COMMENTS ARE IN (PARENTHESES).
She only pooped on the carpet once so far. We just take it out and pressure wash it.

Photobucket
Never to be caught without some costume on. Her "Luvy" made her this lovely cape. (This was actually for a "Fancy Nancy"-themed birthday party).

Photobucket
Cam and Ana get to go on an easter egg hunt every day. Sometimes the chooks get a bit confused and squash themselves into the tiny carpeted "cat condo" and lay eggs in there. (Aren't they gorgeous? From old scraps of food and grass, they lay these lovely eggs. Most of them lay in teh coop, just have three who lay in the cat's condo).

Photobucket
(It was the town's big Birthday festival over the last two weekends, and Elsie took a big liking to the pageant queens. They got to know her pretty well too and would look for her at events, especially since she always had a costume on).

Photobucket
Lovely little girl. (Got some face painting going on).

Photobucket
This is a smart baby. It was confirmed by a random stranger last week. He assured Aja that in his thirty years of teaching he had never seen a baby her age with such awareness and brilliance. Made more impressive since his assumption of her age was undoubtedly overguessed because of her gynormity.

Photobucket
(Before the big parade, they have a kiddie parade with prizes for the winners. The prize this year was unlimited passes for the carnival. The kids REALLY wanted to win, so they listed to all the advice I could hand out. Cam and Elsie won last year, but the competition this year was fierce! I do have to say though that Ana did almost everything without my help).
Po was a birthday present to the city for the Festival Parade. We are told that this is the oldest continuously running festival in all the Northwest. This was number 116! Aja and her noggin reasoned that the judges are older whiteheads and could not resist a baby in a box. She was right again. Poem got second place.

Photobucket
Cam also got second place in his "story tale characters" catergory. Only bested by a sleeping beauty that had a rolling four poster bed! This costume took all of five minutes and all of Aja's 30 years of creating costumes. "get that gold pillow case...(snip, snip) and a slit here (snip). ..ha, tunic. Ana, get that curtain we were using for the soup opera. There you go cam, there's your cape."
Photobucket
(All down the parade, the spectators were saying, "Awwwwww! So Cuuuuuute!" No one can resist baby-in-a-box).

Photobucket
Ana's costume was cleverly designed to be eligible for dual categories pending the competition. She chose Best Dressed Pet when she saw that the competition only included a little wiener dog diva and a couple of broomstick ponies. Ponyo was a hit. Ana was sure to mention how much money she had saved us by winning the contest. She claimed $50 and mentioned that we really ought to pay her (there was a carnival that day and the unlimited barf passes were $25 a pop). We were quick to explain that we would not have gone to the carnival had she not won. She consented but still said "you have to give me at least twenty-five cents"; we coughed it up.

Photobucket
The blue ribbon of proof! Ponyo got a slice of bread for her efforts.

Photobucket
Porta-john. (Elsie didn't win anything, but she said, "I didn't win, but that's okay! I won by Poem!"
Also today Cam was trying to correct how she says "cereal". After a few minutes of failed attempts, Elsie said, "But Caaaammm... it's cute when I say things wrong!")
Photobucket
Watching the most boring parade ever to live (I took the little girls to the big parade while he watched the big kids at the carnival.)

Photobucket
She loves the puke wristband now. Luckily Cam has a friend named Duke so we could say "puke or duke" and that could have a double meaning.

Photobucket
The big pink slide was the best. I asked them to go on every ride. They know that I mean buisness and Cam would say stuff like "that was pretty awesome...awesomer than i thought it would be, but not that awesome" hows that for wishy-wash.

Photobucket
neigh (Elsie didn't get a wrist band, so she only got to ride a couple rides.)

Photobucket
(As raggedy as they look, they were probably the cleanest and most well dressed at the carnival... seriously, folks... wash your face and put a shirt on! and no, your child does NOT need three bags of cotton candy. Go to a carnival to taste the foot sweat of humanity...

I'm probably just bitter because I spent the two hours on a picnic bench holding Po and Elsie and people watching while the big kids rode the rides without me).

Photobucket
hunchback and morphy.

The picture of Cam and Ana on that "Drop Zone" ride was the best.
