Looslis Visit and Easter (written by Jonah)

Photobucket
LUCKY YOU! JONAH WROTE THIS POST, EXCEPT FOR
MY COMMENTS IN (PARENTHESES). I POSTED UP THE PHOTOS AND THEN LEFT AND HE ADDED ALL THE COMMENTARY. THANKS JONAH!

We obviously like to make folks feel like they have a time machine. So here is Easter and an epic visit from the grand Loosli family. To start things off we are going to have some photos of the best baby to ever grace us with her existence. She is roly-poly tubby and happy as all get-up-and-go.

Cam sometimes loves animals and when that happens, all is right in the world. He is a bit of a city boy but is learning to adapt to the slower pace of life out in the country. It seems he always wants to be jumping off a fire-hydrant or racing on his scooter.
(Above is a bunny is from our second litter of bunnies. The momma bunny has moved to the forest, so we won't be having anymore. It was fun to sell them all as "Easter Bunnies".)
Photobucket
Elsie is happy as long as she has a closet full of costumes and is allowed to change them at least three times daily.

Photobucket
Po is so happy that we all love when she is sad because she is so gol-durn cute.

(The Loosli family came to visit us mid-April. Saren is Jonah's oldest sister and we used to live next door to them in St. George, so it was a grand reunion. They were only here for about 48 hours, but we tried to make the most of it, freezing weather and all. Jonah took them on the boat to the lighthouse, we farmed it up, and we went on a good little hike. PS Saren's website powerofmoms.com is AWESOME)

This is Camden and little guy (Silas) and they are loving giving each other a little smack in the face and comparing notes on being stealthy.

Photobucket
We had some fantastic packed time with the Loosli family. Always one adventure to the next with these all.

Photobucket
Jared and I like to look good when we go into the forest in case we need to scare any vampires.

Photobucket
This is a gynormous tree.

Photobucket
Five kids and still happy. Not a chance I am going to talk Aja into that? Help!

Photobucket
Aja walks so smoothly Po can totally saw the logs but whenever I carry her it is like when is in some crazy willy-wonka candy making machine.

Photobucket
We are unfocused.

Photobucket
Cam is amazed by all the interesting facts he reads as we tramp in the forest.

Photobucket
The forest is for us.

Photobucket
Leg of lamb. That is one nice piece.

Photobucket
This guy has horns and he makes sure the ladies know that he has double meanings to his horns.

Photobucket
This is Shakespeare and he saved the life of Geiser (our other lamb who barely survived a cattle stampede when he escaped. His little buddy didn't survive, so he was a lonely and depressed lamb until we got Shakespeare). We were so relieved when he joined the flock. Geiser gave his first little "bbaaaa" since the accident when we showed up with Shakespeare. This made me elated.

Photobucket
We coloured some eggs. The most important and talked about egg being the "red egg" first dyed.

Photobucket
We have some nice footwear around the shack! (Ready for the Easter Egg hunt. I think the first Easter Egg hunt started the first time people kept chickens, because when the new hens start laying in the spring, it is an egg hunt every day until they figure out they HAVE to lay in the coop. That's their job.)

Photobucket
I don't know what that is but Elsie is in love with it. (It's an egg).

Photobucket
We were planning on having the kids weave their own baskets with riverside plants but when we found these organic plastic tubs we just had to use them. (And I ran out of time... there's always next year... my biggest problem is that on the Saturday before Easter I make my kids go to every other church's kids' Easter Egg hunts, so the weekend gets a little hectic and we didn't get around to weaving).

Photobucket
I really love this pup.
(I love this photo because it shows how she feels when Jonah hasn't shaved in a couple days).

Photobucket
These sheep are pretty naughty so we have made the trade for future weaned lambs. They may look like goats but rest assured they are sheep. Called "Jacobs". They are said to be the closest to the breeds of biblical fame.

Photobucket
This guy is my good buddy and will do what i ask him to do immediately and without hesitation. From a glass of water to emptying the dish rack to getting up in the early morning. (child labor laws would be needed if he wasn't so darn lazy for all the rest of the time)(had to put this photo in because his front two teeth are probably going to fall out this week).

Photobucket
(After Easter, we got to have a big B-DAY party for Jonah. I got him some awesome presents and made him swordfish for dinner, so for once I was feeling like he almost got the birthday he deserved... plus, look at that cake!).

So, Clare has a letter for Elsie it has been waiting to go out for weeks. But I am going to have to have her amend the note since one of your lambs is no longer with you. I wont tell her the truth.

I cannot wait until tight-rolling your jeans comes back in style. It will be epic.
