I have a had more than a few comments about the book I chose to publicly endorse here on this blog. The majority of the comments went something like this, "I started reading the book, but I couldn't get into it...." Or, "I started reading the book and the author made me crazy with how self-absorbed she is"... etc. You don't have to read the book or like the book, but I will say that reading the book will give you compassion for someone who shares your culture and but maybe not your attitude. The book is about a woman who has tremendous courage to not only go on a journey to try and fix her self-absorbed, controlling, confused self, but she also honestly writes about it and everything she goes through. I don't know if she's taken that many steps in the right direction, but you've got to respect her for trying. Plus, she's a great writer. But, I have to say: if you don't like getting to know people, and you don't like traveling, you won't like this book.
But, who am I to critique books: the only book I ever HATED was Dracula.... or was it Frakenstein?

I heard from someone else that this book was good too, so I'm gonna try it. ...Because I like getting to know people AND traveling! I did hear it was a little self-absorbed, but I'm sure it'll be interesting. Thanks for the recommendation. Love you guys! When are you leaving on the big trip! Oh how I wish we were packing up too!
